Following cancellation of the CAA IAB Conference 'Society, Architects and Emerging Issues' and the P2P (Projects to Partner) Forum due to take place in Dhaka, Bangladesh in March 2007 the 18th General Assembly (with Council meetings before and after), will be held on the 17-18 April 2007 immediately prior to, and in collaboration with, the RAIA National Convention (19, 20, 21 April 2007), in Melbourne, Australia. CAA is indebted to the Royal Australian Institute of Architects for their immediate agreement to this arrangement and for their hosting and funding of expenses in connection with the meeting. CAA hopes that the arrangement will allow delegates to add value to their journey by attending the RAIA Convention.
Whilst it has not been possible to transfer the CAA IAB Conference, CAA has commissioned The Institute of Architects Bangladesh to proceed with the conference publication to rescue the papers submitted and to 'capture the moment'.
One session at the Assembly will be set aside for discussion of the P2P (Projects to Partner) project.
The student competition has been adjudicated in Bangladesh and an exhibition of twenty entries including the winners and mentions will be displayed at the RAIA National Convention.
The Robert Matthew Award will be judged in Australia.
