The Accord was signed at the 1st General Meeting in Canberra in April 2008 where George Henderson, CAA Chair of Validation, was appointed Chair. The Accord established that, as of 1 January 2010, the academic qualifications directly accredited/validated by the signatories (Australia, Canada, China, Korea, Mexico, USA and CAA) are considered substantially equivalent by them. The Accord was ratified by CAA Council in June 2008. The Seoul meeting approved the Rules and Procedures which are effective from 23.04.09. Task groups for Marketing and Communications, Statistics and Data and Interpretation /Glossary were established. George Henderson represented CAA.
