CAA has 4 agreed programme headings;

A Cities and Sustainability view activities
Liasing with and acting in Commonwealth partnerships concerned with human settlements to promote built environment quality and the contribution of architecture. Significantly; ComHABITAT, a unique partnership between the official and unofficial Commonwealth to support global efforts, particularly the United Nations Commission for Human Settlements(HABITAT), to improve conditions in cities.

Built Environment Professions in the Commonwealth (BEPIC), group comprising the Commonwealth associations of Architects, Engineers, Land Surveyors and economists, and Planners
Seminars and conferences.

B Architecture for All view activities
Initiatives for raising awareness of the built environment and careers in architecture in secondary schools including a bibliography of initiatives and teaching aids in Commonwealth countries; Built Environment Database (BEDS).

C Validation view activities
CAA multilateral system for the validation of courses in architecture though assessment by visiting boards against defined criteria

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) view activities
Seminars and conferences

For most seminars and conferences 'CAA activity' usually involves the nomination and sponsorship of expert speakers to attend events hosted by CAA members.
