CAA is a UK registered charity governed by a General Assembly of Member
delegations which meets at least once every three years, with each
member having one vote irrespective of size. The membership (currently
39) is grouped into 5 regions (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, and
Oceania).
Management is vested in a Council comprising:
President; Immediate Past President; Honorary Secretary/Treasurer;
5 regional Vice Presidents; Chairs of Communication, Education
and Practice Committees.
The organisation makes full use email and teleconferencing to communicate
regularly and to avoid the expense of travel. The Secretariat
is directed by the Executive Director, Tony Godwin, in London
with an Administrator, Su Linning, in South Africa (hosted
by the South African Institute of Architects). The Validation
system has its own secretariat administered by Chris Ellis
in London (hosted by the Royal Institute of British Architects).
This website acts as a hub for data and email communication.
